So let me get this straight: I (carrier) likely have to pay for your employees’ Covid 19 claims and the requisite PTSD, as it’s presumed that they got it at work. Wish me luck trying to rebut that, by the way – public perception alone will have me sitting on my hands. Then I can’t allow those claims to be included in the MOD, even though 1) the chances are about zero that your business followed even 1/2 the CDC directives and 2) you’re reopening your business without a vaccine having been discovered much less widely administered. Well, if you’re interested in making state and federal governments the only insurers in town, congratulations – mission accomplished! Government=friend and problem solver. Private industry=evil and heartless.

We left CA in the 1980s and have been enjoying the sane governance of TX ever since.
