    This is probably a good compromise.

    The downside of raising the cap too much is that it significantly raises the cost of medical care for the benefit of trial attorneys who often receive 33% to 40% of the awards. It might make sense the cap attorney fees at 25% of the awards.

    Would leave the legal recompense side alone and focus on doctors and hospitals doing a better job. Not interested in making it less expensive for them to kill and maim. Fire, train, monitor doctors and administrators until malpractice is less of an issue.
