SCP identifies strategic agency acquisition opportunities that are complementary to Smart Choice’s existing network of over 9,500 independent agencies.
GREENSBORO, NC., September 22, 2022— Smart Choice® announces the acquisition of Carriage Hill Insurance and key leadership appointments for Smart Choice Partners (SCP). SCP identifies strategic agency acquisition opportunities that are complementary to Smart Choice’s existing network of over 9,500 independent agencies.
Carriage Hill is a $4 million-dollar revenue multi-office agency based in Tennessee with offices in Lenior City, Brentwood, Oak Ridge and Athens. The Carriage Hill transaction, which closed on September 1, 2022, is the 22nd agency acquisition for Smart Choice since beginning the SCP program in 2019.
Smart Choice sought out Carriage Hill due to their 10-year partnership with the agency, the agency’s remarkable growth as well as the opportunity to recruit the Carriage Hill executive team to lead the Smart Choice Partners program. The owner of Carriage Hill, Todd Henderson, has been named President. Chase Scott will take on the Director of Operations role, and current SCP executive Jeff Huff has been appointed Vice President of Operational Strategy
