They were given free phones and then they turned in a rebate that specified employees not eligible.

I'd fire every one of them for trying to steal from the company.

I'm not pushing price. He contends that every time he bids his coverage he gets better coverage and a better price than he would have without bidding. His complaint is that insurers and agents charge higher premiums until they know they might lose the policy. He has no complaints about the service h...

Like most insurers they can do a good job.

When I have a good underwriter they do well. When I have a mediocre underwriter I can get up to bat.

I see the logic of Scotts points.

Good discussion. Much better than reading the Farmers bashing that some seem to enjoy!

Some insureds might like the fee compensation system. There is room in the market for both.

Consulting is looking better and better to me. The market is quite frustrating - lots of quoting and few sales. There has to be a way to make this industry fun again!

Thanks to those the PM'ed me on this.

I'm not sure insurance consulting is main stream yet - seems to be growing though.

The marketplace will determine the value / need for consultants.

Consulting sounds interesting - anyone else out there doing this? Any of you brokers deal with consultants?

Id like to learn more.
