Well, either they figured out who started this thread and put my ticket at the top of their pile or it is a coincidence that they called this morning and resolved the ticket.

Vertafore (AMS360) Customer Service is just awful.
Trying something here... Maybe a little public humiliation will make Vertafore see the error of their ways. Opened up a support case almost two weeks ago... It has not even been assigned, let alone addressed. This has happened before with them, open a case and it is ignored until I have to call them...

Christmas Bonus?
Just curious what Christmas bonus other firms typically give out. We are a small Personal Lines firm and I am starting to think we are being unnecessarily generous. My father, when he had an agency from early 70's to mid 90's gave $100 per year that employee was at firm, capping out at $500. My form...

Re: Do you purchase Damage Waiver when renting a car?
I explain to my insureds that they have an exposure due to loss of use and for that reason they may want to buy the lower of the CDW options. It should be noted, however, that many carriers have contracts with rental agencies stating that their clients will not be charged such things. Ask a claims m...

Re: Should I get Cal. Low Cost Auto Ins. in our office?
This is SO an example of politicians having no clue on how businesses operate and what it takes to design a product that makes sense. Yet they keep dipping their slimy fingers in our Froot Loops.

Re: Should I get Cal. Low Cost Auto Ins. in our office?
I agree with all of the above. There is no way to profitably service this market segment except with broker fees which you are not allowed to charge on the CaLo. If they allowed even a $50 broker fee on this program, sales would quadruple. I still wouldn't sell it, but I suspect many agencies would.

Re: Direct mail
Charlie, Tom there is a bot, you can tell by his text. His little robo-spammer detected the thread and posted a canned reply whose sole function was to get another link to his web site posted out on the internet. He's simply attempting to improve the Google rankings for the site listed in his link.

Re: Astonish Results or Squid
Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to implement and maintain an Astonish Results product? When I looked at Squid, their lowest price (with a 36 month commitment ), was $595/mo for their bare bones plan (website, lead management interface, super simple organic SEO and 1,000 e-mail sends). Th...

Re: Anyone offering instant auto quotes on their site?
Yes, those are exactly my concerns. That's why I don't subscribe to company generated leads. I remember getting in a 45 minute discussion with a guy that INSISTED his three vehicles in the household only got a total of 2,500 miles between them. The conversation ended with me having to simply say, &q...

Anyone offering instant auto quotes on their site?
Am looking at this option for our soon to be redesigned web site and was wondering if anyone here offers instant quotes on their web site.
I was wondering what vendor/interface you use and how happy you are with it including the quality of the leads.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: State Farm Commission Structure
For the uninitiated, 4521 is State-Farm-speak for Broker of Record letter, in other words the form a SF policyholder signs to change from one SF agent to another.
Omni, if you don't belong already, you should join NASFA.
Good luck to you.

Re: State Farm Commission Structure
Well, at least now there is a name (albeit an alias) to go with the rants. See Omni there has been ranting against SF for some time in the article comments sections when the subject of SF and FL comes up. Not quite sure what his beef is, maybe he's a SF FL agent that feels shafted or something, dunn...

Another one that ended up as a claim...
"That wasn't my dog in my (unfenced) front yard, it was a neighbor's dog, he lets it run around the neighborhood."
Of course that was until it bit someone.
