Re: Stam collection
If it is an individual with the stamp collention, I would write the whole account with Chartis. They have the capacity to write large collections (wine, jewelry, stamps, sports, ect....).

Re: Special Event Coverage Needed
Travelers Personal Insurance has a great wedding/event policy. It gives you the ability to select the amount of liability, cancel/postpone, add expense, photo/video, event gifts, special atire, special jewelry, and lost deposits that is needed for the event.

Re: home under revovation
Check with the carrier that currently has the home insured. Depending on the value check with FFIC, or Chartis also. Be prepared with specifics about the insured's involvement with the renovations prior to going to the carrier (Will the insured be at the home daily to oversee the project, etc.....)....

Re: Agency Advantage
Hawksoft is webbased. Hawksoft should be interviewed when you are interviewing management systems. They have great accounting features and download. Best thing to do is make a list of what you want the management system to do for your agency and interview the companies on what will best fit your age...

Re: Need Market for Motorhome - rented to Others
That is going to be a tough one. I would contact an E&S broker if you have one. If not, here is a great E&S broker that I use all the time for my challenging risks. Andrew is creative and can usually find a market no matter the state. Andrew Bikofsky Broker Worldwide Facilities Insurance Ser...

Re: Nationwide agent vs. Independent
To my knowledge they can only sell for Nationwide per their contract with Nationwide. The exception to the rule is that if Nationwide does not have a product for the client, then they can write it with another company. Progressive for nonstandard and Hagerty for classic cars would be examples of this.

Re: Wife getting license
I understand that you work for a "CAPTIVE", however it is not fair to independents that you cheat the system! Try approaching an existing independent agency in your area to use when you can not place the risk with your company. Another thing to keep in mind - You are putting your contract ...

Re: New Agency need management system and raters
Hawksoft is not a well known mgmt system yet. I consider Hawksoft to be a great mgmt system. The system is easily maneuvered through, the customer profiles are detailed, and the report capabilities are great. They are in compliance with ISO/Acord, so most carriers download to Hawksoft. I would conta...

Re: Personal lines question: HO3 v. DP3
You are on a tight rope with this. I am in agreement with the other folks. If you know that the dwelling is no longer owner occupied, you need to move it to a DP3. The explaination to give your client is that they NO LONGER have coverage under a HO3/5 while rented to others. DP3 does not hav...
