Re: Home insurance, Day care

Are you referring to insurance for home-based day care? Based on what I've read home insurance does provide liability coverage for body injury and property damage to other people but does not extend liability coverage to any types of business use of the property including home daycare businesses.

Re: claims question

I was wondering if a decision regarding your query has already been made and if you were held liable? If I was the tenant and knowing you were responsible for the fire, holding you liable for the damages, etc is just right.

Re: Identity Theft Insurance

There are a lot of things that one can do to avoid identity theft. Thus, how can there be a need to purchase one at a hefty price? Instead of focusing on identity theft, why not look at purchasing other insurance plans that one would really need.

Not all insurance carriers that offer pet insurance includes cremation in their services. So before purchasing a pet insurance, you must check if it covers cremation and burial services.

Re: Are Insurance Agents Employees or Independent Contractor

You would only be allowed to sell your firms' products and nothing else. You are after all a representative of the company as their agent.

Re: How do you ask for a referral?

Some people might get wary of using online forms to put referrals and might just see it as a SPAM. An old fashioned letter or a direct question still works :)

Re: Those who get an Insurance Education have a competitive

If getting an insurance education will help agents retain their licenses, then I guess it would be important for them to obtain this. You wouldn't want your source of income to be taken away from you just because you failed to take these courses and trainings.

Re: How do you ask for a referral?

Don't be pushy. That's the basic rule in getting referrals. Your clients are going to willingly provide you with referrals if you ask them courteously . :)

Re: Those who get an Insurance Education have a competitive

Having these trainings and courses do give you an edge. However, if you are doing well and have the persuasive powers to sell a policy, then there's really no need for the long courses and trainings.

It might not be worth it..but if you have the extra money to pay for it, then there's no harm in purchasing it. You never know, it might prove useful in a certain situation you'll encounter.
