Have you tried TransCal Associates? (800)872-6722 or http://www.transcal.com.
Used them once for fleet auto. Hopefully they can help you. Good luck!

Re: What would you like to see in the Forums?

Re: CIBA Insurance purchasing group...Help

CIBA is a continued thorn in my side as far as RPG's are concerned. Yes, they write "GRC" without a co-insurance clause, however, I wonder how many accounts are "sharing" the limits and wonder what will happen when the well runs dry and CIBA can't pay out claims on the remaining ...

Re: Surplus Broker Theft

Steve, So sorry to hear about this.....we always hear about agents but never the Surplus Lines Brokers! All I can think of would be for you to deal with Brokers that have been established and have a good track record (I am sure your State's DOI can help you with this information). Check with fellow ...

Re: Lender Forced Coverage for Private Party

You may want to try an Excess/Surplus Lines Broker that has access to Lloyd's. Lexington (Lloyd's) should be able to do this for you, but it will be pricey. Good Luck!

Re: coverage on property with adult foster care business

If your client is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, you may want to try a Risk-Retention group that I use, The Alliance of Nonpprofits for Insurance. You can find them on the web at http://www.ani-rrg.org. They are great to work with! Good luck!

Re: Paparazzi!

Try: Abacus.NET...I used them once. You will probably have to settle for a Standard Package policy (Property with G/L) and perhaps Inland Marine. This classification would make it impossible to obtain a true BOP-type policy. Also, $20,000 worth of equipment sounds rather low (my daughter is a Graphi...

Re: CA - Workers Comp. for Trucking firm w/bad MVR's

Try Elementary Insurance Brokers in Long Beach, CA. Ask for Chris or Isobel. Phone number is (562)290-8201. They only write Worker's Comnpensation Coverage. if it doesn't fit into one of their markets, they have access to State Fund. Turn-around time for State Fund has been 5-7 business days lately....

Re: California "Owner Controlled" renovation of nightclub

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with Eric's post. In California, in order to do any type of constructuioin work, you must be licensed by the State. Rithout hiring a licensed contractor in the State in which he is performing the work, your client has no recourse if the contractor flakes out or is n...

Re: California "Owner Controlled" renovation of nightclub

I think you may be out of gas on this one. Is your client aware of the ramifications of not having a CA state licensed GC? And then there is the issue of permits. How will the GC handle this? Is there any way that the out-of-state GC is able to get a temporary license in CA? What if this GC takes of...

Vacant Dwelling with Open Claim in CA

OK, guys....I need your help. I need fire and liability for a single family, vacant dwelling in California. Dwelling has been vacant for over a year and there is an open liability claim (wrongful eviction, $15,000 in reserves - not yet settled and won't be for at least another year) at this location...
