[Call the next of kin. Tell them what policies you have on the deceased. Let them know you are the point of contact.]
Not sure if this is something you can do because of privacy laws.

Re: Insured/policyholder dies - what to do?
We are usually very proactive in our agnecy as well, however, after thinking about this situation for a bit, I am going to play devil's advocate and open up a can of worms here. What if the "deceased" is not deceased and is very much alive? Either missing, dead and no body recovered or per...

Try American E & S in San Francisco, (415)398-7475 and ask for either Eric boxer or Dave Pinto. They have about a dozen or so E & S Markets for DIC. Excellent customer service and comeptative pricing.

Have you tried the E & S Markets? You may want to give Burns & Wilcox a try (they have an office in Rancho Cordova) or American E & S in San Francisco. Last but not least, any of the Lloyds correspondents....they specialize in the unusual.
Good Luck!

Re: Trusted Choice
Trusted Choice? Seriously? Never heard of it and I've been in this buisness for over 30 years. I don't remember anything about this organization. Since it sounds like a brand of dog food or coffee, I beleive that my membership in PIA and the "Big I" would be enough marketing for our agenci...

Re: Best Personal lines rates in CA
Wow, D....don't take it so personally - I wasn't being saracstic. Comparison raters such as FSC and the like are a fantastic tool to compare the agent's carriers and those he/she doesn't offer, however, when we did have it, 9 times out of 10, we didn't use it as we knew the rates of our carriers wel...

Re: Best Personal lines rates in CA
Rates are extremly competative in San Francsico for all three insurers. Allied and Encompass more-so than Kemper. I have a client in Orange County that is insured with Encompass and the rates there are competative, too. If I had to choose betweenthe three, I would go with Encompass.

Re: Best Personal lines rates in CA
D has a great idea if you can afford $200+ per month for a comparison rater, but IMPE, Encompass has the best rates across the board for all lines of insurance when you package the auto, home, dwelling and umbrella all together for one client.

Have you checked out in today's IJ newsletter headline under "My New Markets"? It's titled:
"New Training Series Grooms Insurance Agents for Ownership, Management"
It appears to be an on-line course. Sounds like this is a place where you can start.
Good luck!!
