Re: One stop shop MGA

In my experience there are no MGA's that are jack of all trades. Most MGA are more or less slanted towards a certain industry. Pick a class code and try and built a book in that industry. In my opinion its better to partner up with a solid large brokerage firm and split commissions until you are rea...

Anyone know of Home arranty companies that will pay comissions to agents. When I was captive we used to get 20% from AHS. I have not found anyone inlcuding them that works with IA's . Any info is appreciated.

Re: Licensed vs non licensed CSR ( CA)

You are absolutely right> recemtly we were looking for a new CSr and I was surprised by the number of CSR resumes we were getting that did not have a license. They all worked at other agencies and did all the work.

Re: Farmers vs. Independent

As an Ex Farmers agent I can tell you that you are wrong. There are several reasons that there are more Farmers agents going IA vs SF and Allstate: 1) They are less discriminate in taking new agents. SF an Allstate are much more challenging to get into. 2 ) At Farmers you don't own the book and cant...

Re: I Feel Like Crying !

what ever you do don't join Farmers, or State Farm. If I had to do it all over again I would get my licesne and go worj for an agency while gaining experience. running an agency it a big headache. If you are a good producer have the firm handle the business side and you just go sell. thats my $0.02

Re: How have you Benefited from your Cluster Membership?

SIAA is one of the big clusters but not the only option. Their contract was too long for us so we joined premier . www.thinkpremierfirst.com. I also hear good things about PIIB. After being captive anything is better!!!
