Is there a CA admitted carrier or wholesaler or MGA who can help me compete against Zurich on a towing operation. My initial inquiries have been met with laughs and eye-rolling. Evidently Zurich has the most comprehensive coverage and exteremly competetive pricing for twoing operations with garage keepers liability, on-hook coverage, premise GL, and a $2mil umbrella.

Does anyone have any feedback or suggestions for where I can take this? Piecing it out to admitted carriers is absolutely a last resort.

alot depends on if the tow compnay does any REPO or not. MAJOR difference

This outfit does not do repo work.

your a farmers agent, they do tow trucks excluding repo now, started about 4 weeks ago

Actually we will start writing tow trucks and a few other classes of comm auto starting November 1. The risk I am working on renews October 1st.

Hrm...30 days to wait for your market to open....perhaps the track to take is to get the account quoted for 11/1 and then allow the incumbent to renew and take at the 11/1 date. Factors to consider include: Min Earned premiums and the like.
