Hired and non-owned auto

Post by hbrundage »

Looking for h/no for a home healthcare risk. Have package and all other coverages placed but can't find market for h/n0.
Employees use their own cars to transport patients to Drs. offices, etc.

Have your information prepared regarding the company's policy on enforcing the employees' own insurance coverage, proper limits, and proof of coverage. There are some hefty minimum premiums for this coverage.

Depending on what state, try Smith Bell & Thompson. I thoink they are in Mass or CT - one of the north eastern states.
They offer it thorugh Lexington. They are even writing some of these risk on Admitted Paper.

And be ready for big premium, I seem to remember getting Lexington quotes for this a few years ago starting at $25k.

Doesn't the owner own a vehicle that can be put into a commercial auto policy. If so, then you can add NO and Hired.
