Manufactured Home (in park) Insurance in Florida

Post by agentagent »

Does anyone know of a a market other than Citizens MHO3 or LLoyds HO8 for a manufactured home in a park? With the limited coverages on both policy types, I am hesitant to sell either product. I have researched and cannot find another carrier. Please share if you know...coastal county also ... Thanks. :!:

Foremost Insurance should be able to do it. In Oregon they will write replacement cost on any age home, not sure about Florida. http://foremost.com

Thanks to both the replies, Foremost isn't writing homes in Florida and American Modern is closed in the zip code as well as most of the coastal counties. Appreciate your help.......

Unfortunately,
This is a result of consumers complaining to the state. They complain about the rates, the state denies rate changes needed to make a profit, and companies pull out. Hence, consumers are left with the pool, or cut-coverage forms. The DOI needs to get a backbone and allow higher rates in those areas, such that companies are willing to move in.

What about E&S markets: Crump, Burns-Wilcox, Hull?

American Integrity will write if the park is not closed. Good luck otherwise. A coastal Volusia county agency.

Thanks, no such program yet....maybe after a CAT loss something like that can be implemented for home insurance.

Hello agentagent,
I am a Product Mgr working for a Surplus Lines carrier. We are currently writing coastal Manufactured Housing insurance in Florida. What counties are you writing in? Do you have a Surplus Lines license? Would you be interested in writing directly with the company as a Retail broker? Would love to talk.
