Delaware Officials Look at Health Exchange Enrollment

Delaware officials are still awaiting final numbers from the federal government, but say enrollment on Delaware’s health insurance exchange appears to be increasing.

Sunday was the deadline to sign up for exchange coverage this year under the Affordable Care Act.

Federal officials reported last week that more than 26,500 had selected plans on Delaware’s exchange as of late last month.

Delaware Health and Social Services Secretary Rita Landraft told the state health care commission Thursday that officials are still awaiting final numbers, but that preliminary figures indicate that the number of people selecting plans on Delaware’s exchange is up about 6 percent compared to last year.
