Long Haul Trucking / CDL less than 2 years / Get coverage?

Post by needhelp »

Hello all. I hope someone can help me. I am not a insurance agent. I am a owner operator/co-owner in Florida and my current business has been incorporated 4 years. I have had my CDL A license for 8 months, but I have driven under cdl permit long enough to have over 2 years experience.

I wanted to get Long Haul insurance to go out of state but just found out most companys want 2 years. Other truckers recommended I try a casualty company. Can I get coverage? Do you know a company who will insure me? Thank you for any responses.

Carolina Casualty Insurance Co. writes long haul trucking. They will write newer ventures if your driving experience is good. You can go to http://www.carolinacas.com, click on "our agents", put in your city and zip code to see if there is an agent in your area.
Good Luck!
