The Role:

The Software Administrator of the Analytics Infrastructure Engineering team successfully delivers functionality utilizing vended software by providing administration and operational support for Arity’s Data Governance (Business Glossary; Data Catalog; etc.) tools, ensuring that the products within the team’s portfolio remain stable, current, and that operational SLA’s are maintained.

 

The candidate is responsible for installation, configuration, support and administration of the vendor’s software.  Also, maintaining the organization and security of the objects contained in the tooling.  Duties include developing and maintaining data store structures, managing users, groups, roles, and global/local repository relationships, and performing backup and recovery of repositories.

 

During development efforts, the Software Administrator is also responsible for coordinating migrations, maintaining database connections, establishing naming conventions and development standards, and developing back-up and restore procedures for the repositories.  And works closely with other teams during installation and deployment to plan, configure, support and maintain the desired platform configuration.

Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with Data Governance and technical teams, provide knowledge and support for technical and system architectural planning, and resolving technology issues
  • Configure vendor software; review and verify operation of new vendor release features
  • Resolve issues and outages by working with other teams and leveraging the vendor’s defect resolution procedures and support tools
  • Develop and test back-up / restore and restart / recovery strategies procedures; Monitors logs and activity, real-time system state and load, and performance;
  • Assist, gather and publish training, technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
  • Develop expertise to train staff and users
  • Coordinate LDAP and Users/ Groups Creation, Access Management (Privileges and Permissions)
  • SSO integration and setting up SSL certificates
  • Outage Handling, Password Changes, Bouncing Activities or Restarting the Services
  • Support and perform metadata scans
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, mathematics, or data science
  • At least 3 years of experience in Software Administration, including cloud-based software, preferred in metadata repositories and business glossaries, such as Informatica, Alation, Collibra, etc.
  • Strong experience in providing software administration, operational support and problem resolution for a large complex environments
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to multitask across several large initiatives
  • Ability to analyze & communicate root cause and remediation steps
  • Coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Support on call and off-hours work as needed
Qualification and Education:

• 4 year Bachelors Degree In Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics(Preferred)

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation offered for this role is $59,250.00-$96,937.50 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
