Join Allstate’s Litigation Services team as a Paralegal Specialist, where your contributions will be essential to delivering strong legal outcomes and exceptional service to our clients.
Based in Knoxville, TN (remote, with coverage across East Tennessee from Bristol to Chattanooga to Crossville), this remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on high-impact insurance defense cases involving bodily injury claims. You’ll take ownership of the litigation life cycle—from answering complaints and managing discovery, to preparing for arbitration and trial. With access to hands-on training and mentorship from a collaborative team of paralegals and attorneys, you’ll build deep expertise and grow your career in a supportive, fast-paced legal environment.

Compensation offered for this role is $26.20 - 41.84 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, including trial preparation
- Draft and file pleadings, respond to discovery, and support motion practice
- Order and track medical records using court orders and coordinate expert review and disclosures
- Prepare arbitration and trial materials, including discovery summaries and exhibits
- Handle e-filing in Tennessee jurisdictions as applicable
- Maintain accurate calendars and ensure timely filings, service, and compliance
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and clients to prepare discovery responses and case updates
Education
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of paralegal experience, or
- Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved preferred) and at least 2 years of paralegal experience
Experience
- Experience as a Paralegal in insurance defense or civil litigation, preferably involving personal injury
- Familiarity with medical terminology, records collection, and review processes
- Strong understanding of legal procedures including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court filings
- Exceptional organizational and calendar management skills, with attention to deadlines and case progress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and client correspondence
- Proven ability to multitask and stay proactive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
