Lyft to Open Customer Experience Operations in Nashville

October 7, 2015

A San Francisco-based rideshare service is investing more than $5 million to locate its new operations in Nashville and create 380 jobs in Davidson County.

Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd announced this week that Lyft will locate its customer experience operations in the Music City.

Officials say Lyft’s customer experience team will be housed in the historic Sash & Door building in downtown Nashville and will support drivers and passengers with timely answers to their questions.

With more than 1 million rides per week, Lyft has become the fastest-growing transportation app in the United States.

Newly elected Nashville Mayor Megan Barry says the company’s investment is more evidence that “Nashville is rapidly becoming known as a center for innovation and technology.”
