The Hilb Group, LLC (THG) has acquired Gentry Insurance Agency (GIA) Inc. GIA is an independent insurance agency located in Apopka, Fla. The transaction became effective October 1, 2015.
As an independent agency, GIA represents multiple insurance companies offering insurance for individual, family and business clients. GIA has offered auto, property, group health, worker’s comp, home, life, and business insurance across Central Florida since 1937.
“This partnership expands our product and service offerings, and it gives us greater access to The Hilb Group’s national resources,” said Debra Liebknecht, president and owner of GIA.
GIA is THG’s eighth acquisition in 2015 and will continue operating under its current leadership. This acquisition supports THG’s strategic expansion plan, and strengthens THG’s presence in Florida, according to the company.
