As a Health and Benefits Integrated Lead Associate you will contribute to a wide variety of projects including supporting clients and the market’s growth initiatives.
You will serve as the project manager on select projects, interface with vendors and key clients internally and externally, create client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. You will have the opportunity to significantly grow your health and benefits business acumen as well as your financial, project management and client relationship skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry. This portion of the role will represent approximately 50% of your role.
The other 50% of your role will be focused to support the market on growth initiatives partnering closely with the Market Leader and Delivery & Operations Leader. You will get exposed to our senior seller and Producer community by holding them accountable to manage their pipeline opportunities. You will support the planning and facilitation of local growth meetings and events (both internally and externally). You will also support our client contracting process as required through our excellence model.

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $85,000-$100,000 USD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus

Responsibilities:
Client Support (50%):
- Materially contribute to core health and benefits projects involving the design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability and absence management benefits for clients. Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with client service team leader to deliver superior project management
- Proactively advising clients and providing superior client service in response to day-to-day service issues and questions (eligibility, carrier coverage and claims issues, compliance, etc.)
- Preparing for and facilitating client meetings (prepare agendas and materials, coordinate resources, etc.)
- Contributing to benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies
- Engaging subject matter experts to address client needs
- Conducting review of client deliverables to ensure alignment to client objectives, leverage of optimal WTW services and solutions, and adherence to WTW professional excellence standards
- Conducting benchmarking studies and other research; provide value added analyses and summaries
- Analyzing and comparing vendor products, services and contracts
- Building relationships internally and collaborating effectively on cross-functional teams
- Reviewing work and contributing to the development of junior staff
Growth Initiatives (50%):
- Support local sales and leadership on ideating and coordinating local events to promote WTW with our clients and prospects
- Connected to Dynamics champion and MNY sales community
- Identifying growth opportunities for clients (new-existing opportunities)
- Identifying prospecting opportunities (new-new) by connecting with other Line-of-Business (LOB) leaders and H&B Insights & Commercialization (I&C) subject matter experts
- Gathering insights from prospecting opportunities to understand why we win and lose
- Engaging the RFP Proposal Team to support Senior Sellers and Producers convey our WTW value proposition in preparation for new business opportunities and proposals
- Extract Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool (i.e. Dynamics) reports on a weekly basis and clean up data
- Ensuring colleagues are adhering to best practices and managing pipeline reporting on a live basis
- Monitoring our MNY gap to plan through Dynamics reporting and continuing to improve reporting efficiencies
- Supporting local leaders to identify and close growth gaps
- Prepare agendas and support the MNY sales community meetings
- Support account planning meetings across all client segments for the MNY
- Support the client contracting process by ensuring colleagues are leveraging the most up-to-date contracts and legal reviews, where appropriate
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience dealing with health and welfare plans, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or health underwriting / actuarial function of an insurance company
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
- 4+ years’ experience dealing with health and welfare plans, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or health underwriting / actuarial function of an insurance company
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
- Proven ability to identify and resolve issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
- Pursuit of CEBS designation, or health and welfare actuarial / underwriting training encouraged
- This will be working on a Hybrid Set-up
