We are seeking a skilled and experienced accounting professional to lead our financial operations as we continue to expand.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to serve as our Controller. This position will play a critical role in the financial health of ERA, overseeing all day-to-day accounting and finance operations, managing cash flow, and supporting our growth strategy through diligent financial oversight and reporting.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and perform all bookkeeping and accounting functions using NetSuite

  • Oversee reconciliation of monthly agency commissions from carriers and wholesalers
  • Supervise collections of receivables and manage timely payment of payables
  • Lead the agency billing process across all ERA business divisions
  • Support the financial due diligence process during prospective acquisitions
  • Assist with financial onboarding and integration of newly acquired agencies
  • Maintain strong cash management practices to ensure liquidity and growth stability
  • Prepare financial projections and develop annual operating budgets
  • Serve as the main liaison with external accountants for tax filings and audits


Required Qualifications


  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university
  • MUST have minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles within a property/casualty insurance agency

  • Proficient in NetSuite
    accounting software

  • Strong organizational, communication,
    and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Experience in insurance agency acquisitions a plus
