Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Purchases Idaho Workers’ Comp Administrator

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the acquisition of WorkCare Northwest Inc. headquartered in Boise.

Established in 1998, WorkCare Northwest Inc. is a program administrator specializing in workers’ compensation insurance for a diverse range of industries. Their business is derived from independent insurance agents and brokers in the western United States.

Edward Galtney, Ryan Moore and their associates will continue to operate out of their current locations in Idaho and Nevada under the direction of Joel Cavaness, president of Risk Placement Services Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

Suriano-Williams Benefits Group Joins Woodruff-Sawyer Oregon

Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. announced that Suriano-Williams’ benefits practice has joined its Oregon Benefits group. Helen “Willy” Suriano-Williams will serve as a senior benefits consultant. Williams will provide clients with strategic consultation on its benefits programs and develop new business opportunities for the organization.

Prior to partnering with Woodruff-Sawyer, Williams was co-founder and principal with Suriano-Williams Financial Services Inc., a firm that specializes in estate, financial, and individual insurance planning. She provided clients with benefit plan analysis, design and implementation services.

G.J. Sullivan Acquires Books of Business

Orange, Calif.-based G. J. Sullivan Co. Excess & Surplus Lines Inc. acquired 100 percent of the property/casualty and professional liability books of business of London American General Agency of San Diego and Arizona. London American will continue to specialize and operate in transportation and motorsports insurance coverages.

Hub Int’l Adds Seattle Benefits Brokerage

Hub International Ltd. announced the acquisition of Tash Lyle & Jones, a Seattle employee benefits insurance brokerage. This fold-in acquisition will become part of Bush, Cotton & Scott, a regional subsidiary of Hub International, and its principals will report to Steven Bush, president.

Tash Lyle & Jones originated in 1978 and has generated approximately $1.3 million in commissions.

Hub International Ltd. provides an array of property/casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products and services through offices located in the United States and Canada.
