American Safety, Victore Insurance

Bermuda-based American Safety Insurance Holdings Ltd.’s American Safety Casualty Insurance Co. (ASCIC) subsidiary has acquired Victore Insurance Co. (VIC), an Oklahoma domiciled admitted insurance company headquartered in Oklahoma City.

VIC provides customized bonding solutions for the surety bond industry. VIC specializes in contract surety for general contractors and subcontractors, and also provides other types of bonds such as oil and gas, court, and license and permit bonds.

ASCIC also acquired Victore Enterprises Inc., an Oklahoma-based holding company, and Agency Bonding Co. Inc., an Oklahoma-based insurance agency specializing in providing surety agency services, primarily for VIC.

AGP, Corrigan Jordan

Dallas-based Apex Global Partners (AGP) has acquired the Corrigan Jordan Insurance Agency, a privately owned insurance and risk management brokerage also headquartered in Dallas.

Corrigan Jordan has been providing corporate clients with multiline insurance and risk management products and services for more than 45 years throughout Texas and the Southwestern United States. Additionally, Corrigan Jordan provides individual customers with a full line of personal insurance products.

Corrigan Jordan principal Clay Lancaster joins Apex Global’s management group, and will continue in his role as division manager of the Corrigan Jordan Division of Apex. He also serves as executive vice president of Apex Global’s Risk Management Division.

The Woodlands Financial Group

The Woodlands, Texas-based retail and managing general insurance agency, The Woodlands Financial Group Inc. (TWFG), has opened six new branch locations.

Shawn Thomas has opened a new branch in Houston. Thomas comes to TWFG with nine years of insurance experience, most of which were with Farmers Insurance.

Ashley Smith also opened a new branch in Houston. She previously was with Farmers.

Gretchen Metzbower opened a new location in Baldwin, Md. Metzbower joins TWFG with three years of experience with Allstate.

Kenneth Kirkpatrick opened a branch in Killeen, Texas. Kirkpatrick previously was with Farmers Insurance.

Harold Treadway opened a new location in Baton Rouge, La. Treadway started in the insurance business in 1961 and served more than 35 years with Allstate.

Robert Gualtieri opened a new branch location in Marrero, La. Gualtieri has 43 years of experience in the insurance industry, more than 37 of which were with Allstate.
