Burr Ridge, Ill.-based Allegiance Insurance Services Inc. (AIS) appointed Barbara M. Strehmann as chief financial officer of the Allegiance Group of Companies.

Strehmann has over 30 years’ experience in the accounting field, and has worked as the accounting manager and comptroller of AIS since its inception in 2003.

AIS additionally appointed Michael A. Petrocelli to the position of vice president of Agency Services & Profit.

Petrocelli has served as both the agency services director and profit administrator of AIS for the past three years and as agency services manager since 2006.

Chicago-based property/casualty insurer CNA appointed Sean Radford to vice president, Human Resources Business partner.

Radford joined CNA in 2014 as director in HR’s Talent and Leadership Development team, where he was responsible for developing and driving CNA’s talent and leadership strategy.

Prior to CNA, Radford held leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies, both leading business operations and leadership development functions.

Fifth Third Bancorp, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, hired Howard McClure, a 30-year veteran of the insurance industry, as senior vice president and head of insurance services.

McClure previously served as president of Palmer & Cay of Texas, and prior to that he led Wells Fargo’s Southwest region and headed a major part of Wachovia’s insurance business. He also worked at Chubb Insurance’s Financial Institutions group, with responsibility for the Pacific and Asia regions.

McClure serves on the board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.

At Fifth Third, he will be responsible for developing and leading an enhanced, holistic insurance strategy, including evaluating alternatives to expand the Bank’s insurance offerings, and employee benefits for the consumer and commercial lines of business.

Fifth Third Bancorp is a diversified financial services company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Grange Insurance, based in Columbus, Ohio, hired Tim Cunningham as vice president, chief information officer. Cunningham will lead major technology investments across all lines of business.

With nearly 30 years of experience managing technology systems and processes at Bank One. Following Bank One’s merger with JPMorgan Chase, he served as chief technology officer, managing director, retail technology services, where he was instrumental in developing digital and mobile strategies.

Grange and its affiliates offer auto, home, life and business insurance protection Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio,Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Columbus, Ohio-based property/casualty insurer, Nationwide, announced that Tom Clark has been elected president of Nationwide’s Excess & Surplus lines business.

In a planned leadership transition the company announced in 2014, Clark succeeds Mike Miller, who remains with Nationwide.

Prior to joining the Excess & Surplus team as executive vice president in 2014, Clark served as senior vice president for Allied Field Operations. In addition, Clark led field operations for Harleysville Insurance and played a key role in the integration of Harleysville into the Nationwide family. He has more than 25 years of technical and leadership experience in the insurance industry.

Miller is now president of Nationwide Ventures.

Global insurance broker NFP Corp. appointed Patrick Savage as chief operating officer (COO) for NFP Property & Casualty, Midwest.

Savage will lead operations and finance for NFP Property & Casualty, Midwest and will use his expertise in the P/C sector to continue the firm’s expansion in the area. He is based in Chicago.

Savage previously oversaw the general operations of Hylant, a regional insurance broker, where he was COO and senior vice president of Talent Management. He brings nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry, implementing operational best practices aimed at growth and client service, financial forecasting, mergers and acquisitions, systems implementations and long-term strategic planning.

Method Insurance Services, a newly formed program administrator for property/casualty insurance located in Omaha, Neb., hired Julie Richt as director, Sales and Distribution.

Richt brings 12 years of insurance experience to the table. Richt has been a regional sales manager for Markel FirstComp, territory manager for Liberty Mutual and most recently a producer for Inspro Insurance.

Method said it plans to offer workers’ compensation and other property/casualty products to independent agents in Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada and California.
