Specialist (re)insurer, Lloyd’s, appointed Dr. Enya He as regional director for its newly-established South Central United States region. She will be based in Dallas and be responsible for market development activities in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

Prior to joining Lloyd’s, Dr. He served as associate professor, Risk Management and Insurance, at the University of North Texas. In that role, she built strong relationships with many of the brokers, coverholders, insurers, risk managers and industry trade organizations Lloyd’s considers among its most important business partners.

Dr. He is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII).

Before pursuing a career in higher education, she worked in her native China for Ping An Insurance Group, Tong Tai Insurance Brokerage and Swiss Life Group (China).

She is a member of Academic Advisory Council of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and a member of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s Texas/Southeast Division board as well as the Advisory Council of Journal of Reinsurance.

WebTPA, a provider of benefit plan management services and an AmWINS Group company, has named Scott Chapman as vice president of Business Development. He is based in New Orleans.

Chapman joins the WebTPA executive leadership team with 20 years of experience in the managed healthcare industry. He previously was with UnitedHealthcare where he directed sales strategies for major public sector and large commercial accounts.

Chapman will work directly with Megan Rigby, WebTPA’s chief growth officer.

In his new role, Chapman will identify and manage new client opportunities and support continuing education and solutions presented to WebTPA’s current clients, in addition to further developing and executing the company’s business strategy.

Ironshore Inc. named Ronald A. Gleason as Global Energy Industry practice leader. A senior vice president based in Houston, Gleason currently serves as Ironshore’s regional executive for South Central. He will continue in that role.

Gleason will be responsible for developing integrated insurance solutions for the Energy sector in alignment with Ironshore underwriting specialists throughout its global platform.

Gleason has more than 30 years’ experience as a specialty underwriter in the energy sector. He joined Ironshore in 2009 to establish the Houston office. Previously, he led the regional energy operation of AIG Global Energy after having served for more than five years as Profit Center Manager for the AIG Energy division.

Ironshore’s Energy Industry Practice underwrites comprehensive coverages on commercial risks across virtually all classes within the specialty Energy sector worldwide, including Casualty, Environmental, Global Property, International Liability and Professional Liability lines, among others

JLT Specialty USA, a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. (JLT), has appointed Perry Robinson senior vice president. He is based in Houston.

Robinson will assist JLT’s clients with identification, management and mitigation of complex risks in the cyber and technology fields.

Having most recently served as vice president and general manager of Rackspace’s Managed Security division, and prior to that as vice president of Business and Legal Affairs at Rackspace, Robinson comes to JLT with over a decade of experience in leading business and legal teams in the technology space.

In his former position, Robinson’s responsibilities included product design and service delivery of managed security offerings, and leading Rackspace’s legal team in commercial matters and public policy.

He has also worked as counsel for The Performance Companies and as a litigation associate for Martin & Drought, P.C.

JLT Specialty USA also appointed Robert Robideaux as the executive vice president and regional head of Client Development, focusing on private equity and alternative investment funds.

Robideaux joins as a member of JLT’s Private Equity executive committee. His responsibilities will include client development, recruitment and management of a team focused on delivering JLT’s specialty risk solutions to the alternative investment community.

With over two decades of experience in the risk and insurance industry, Robideaux comes to JLT following his role at Marsh as managing director of the Global Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.

Previously, Robideaux managed AIG’s West Coast Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance Group, where he developed transactional insurance and financial products. He also practiced as a lawyer and tax advisor with Deloitte and KPMG.
