Insurance brokerage USI Insurance Services (USI) appointed David A. Nurre president, employee benefits for the Cincinnati, Ohio, office.

Nurre has more than 17 years of industry experience and has been with USI Insurance Services since 1998.

He holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), and Certified Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.

USI is headquartered in Valhalla, N.Y.

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions added Christine Harman as senior vice president, head of Casualty, and named Gabriel Poppie senior vice president, head of Sales, for its U.S. Central Region. Both are based in Chicago.

Harman has nearly 20 years of industry experience that includes claims, underwriting and team leadership roles at a variety of commercial carriers.

Poppie has been a key account manager at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions since 2013. With more than 16 years of industry experience, Poppie began his career in 2000 with Marsh in St. Louis.

Wisconsin-based M3 Insurance promoted Tim Cleary, Matt Cranney, Nezih Hasanoglu and Zach Penshorn to vice president positions.

Cleary, Cranney, Hasanoglu and Penshorn have accepted these leadership roles, respectively, in the areas of Sales for Property/Casualty, Insurance Operations, Business Development and Human Resources.

All four previously held director titles in their corresponding areas, and are responsible for the direction, performance and management of their respective teams located throughout M3’s five Wisconsin locations.

High net worth personal insurance firm TDC Risk Management (TDC), based in Maumee, Ohio, hired Greg Jones as chief operating officer.

Jones brings 24 years of experience to TDC, with a heavy concentration in the high net worth niche. He previously spent 12 years at AIG Private Client Group, most recently as senior vice president and Central Zone executive. Prior to this role, Jones led AIG’s zone claims as vice president and Central Zone claim manager. Jones also has served Chubb in various claim leadership roles.

Schaumburg, Ill.-based insurance brokerage Assurance named Anthony Way senior vice president, practice leader. He will direct Assurance’s Public Entity and Education, Real Estate and Faith-Based teams.

Way has been a leader and mentor in the firm’s property/casualty division for six years, and previously was an account executive. He has more than 20 years of experience serving as a public entity and real estate risk management consultant, as well as senior claims manager.

CNA appointed Rick Childs vice president of underwriting for the company’s construction segment. Childs joined CNA in 2007 as the branch underwriting director for the Boston branch. Since 2010, he has held the role of construction industry leader for the company’s Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern Zones.

Michael D. Farley joined the Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) as vice president of legal and government affairs. Farley will assume leadership of the association’s legislative and regulatory affairs initiatives, a position previously held by OII newly appointed president Dean Fadel.

Prior to joining OII, Farley was judicial and legislative affairs counsel at the Supreme Court of Ohio. He also served as assistant director for legislative affairs at the Ohio Department of Insurance and held legislative/public affairs positions with the American Red Cross-Ohio, Office of Governor Bob Taft, and for former-state representative David R. Evans, among others.

OII is a trade association representing insurance companies and agent groups in Ohio.

Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Amerisure Insurance Co. promoted Allen Long to director, Advanced Analytics; Casey Mungall to director, Enterprise Risk Management and Investments; and Chris Spaude to director, Financial Planning and Analysis.

Long joined Amerisure in 2006 and previously was manager, Actuarial Predictive Analytics. He holds a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society designation.

Mungall previously served as assistant portfolio manager. He retains his current investment responsibilities, and also oversees Amerisure’s Enterprise Risk Management Department. Mungall, a chartered financial analyst, joined Amerisure in 2005.

Spaude assumes responsibility for Treasury and Accounts Payable. He joined Amerisure in 2003 and previously served as manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.
