Cleveland, Ohio-based Oswald Companies appointed Jennifer Morrissey chief information officer. She becomes the first person to hold this position in Oswald’s 123-year history.

Morrissey joins Oswald with more than 18 years of progressive experience directing the strategic information technology initiatives of global organizations. Her background includes more than nine years of insurance and risk management leadership with Willis Group Holdings (WSH).

Prior to Willis, she held similar leadership positions with Electronic Data Systems (EDS). She most recently served as the interim chief executive officer of a digital marketing startup agency in Nashville.

Cathy Baldwin, director of Marketing and Communication at wholesale insurance broker J.M. Wilson, has been named 2016 Distinguished Partner of the Year by the Michigan Association of Professional Insurance Agents (MI PIA).

Baldwin was recognized for her involvement in industry conventions, golf outings and relationship building opportunities for over 15 years.

She joined J.M. Wilson in 1990 and worked as a property/casualty underwriter before managing the marketing department.

POWERS Insurance and Benefits in St. Louis, Mo., promoted Christen Beardall to systems and training manager, and Amy Connell to commercial and personal lines manager.

Beardall previously served as personal lines manager for both POWERS Insurance and Benefits and its sister company Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA).

Connell previously served as a commercial lines manager for both POWERS Insurance and Benefits and VIAA.

Lockton named Peter Clune as its next U.S. president and chief operating officer, effective May 1, 2017. He will succeed Glenn Spencer who was previously named president and CEO of Lockton Inc.’s global operations effective on the same date.

Clune joined Lockton in 2006 as chief operating officer of Lockton’s St. Louis operation. For the past six years, he has been an operations executive working with Lockton offices across the U.S. on recruiting, business development and client service. He previously worked at Zurich and started his career as a producer with a Kansas City insurance agency.

Ohio-based Hylant named Debbie Fischer to the newly created position of vice president, property/casualty service leader.

Fischer has been with Hylant for more than 30 years. Most recently, she was vice president, client services. She has earned the Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Risk Manager and Certified Insurance Service Representative designations.

Chicago-based insurer CNA promoted Kelly Walsh to vice president, Branch Services, and Lindsay Lovvorn to vice president, Product and Process Systems.

Walsh has 15 years of diversified experience in the commercial property/insurance industry at CNA. Her most recent role was assistant vice president, Line of Business Services & Operation.

Lovvorn brings nine years of insurance industry experience to this role, and 16 years’ overall experience in systems and product development roles. She joined CNA in 2012.

Insurance brokerage USI Insurance Services (USI) added Brianna Berry, Nick Giancola and Kim Patrick in its Independence, Ohio, office. In addition, Heidi King has been promoted to consultant and Brian Muldoon was promoted to senior account executive.

Berry has six years of experience and joins USI as an account manager for employee benefits. Prior to USI, Berry worked at Jones Day and JoAnn Fabrics.

Giancola, an employee benefits consultant, has 19 years of sales and marketing experience. He previously was principal owner of CGI Voluntary Benefits.

Patrick is an employee benefits consultant with 16 years of experience. She has worked at Chapman and Chapman, and The Alpha Group Agency.

King was promoted to employee benefits consultant after holding the role of account executive for four years. King previously was a human resources manager for a publishing firm.

Muldoon was promoted to senior account executive for employee benefits and has been with USI for one year. He previously held roles with Willis of Ohio, Oswald and Palmer & Cay.

Wallace & Associates Insurance Agency, based in Jackson, Mo., hired Ron Brown as property/casualty producer. Brown will handle automobile and home insurance for new and existing accounts, as well as specialize in property management.

Founded in 2015, Wallace & Associates Insurance Agency specializes in business, life, home and auto insurance, and is a member of Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA).
