Boston-based OneBeacon Insurance Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. announced the appointment of two new members to its field management team. Both will report to John Cavoores, President and Chief Operating Officer of OneBeacon.
Bill Tabinsky joins OneBeacon as Regional President of the newly established Metro region that includes the downstate New York market and New Jersey commercial lines operations. He “brings considerable experience to his position, having spent a substantial portion of his tenure with Chubb, where he was a Managing Director and Senior Vice-President in the metropolitan New York area,” said the announcement.
Alex Archimedes, former CEO and President of Parkway Insurance, has joined OneBeacon’s personal lines business in New Jersey. The company had been in negotiations to purchase Parkway from Fireman’s Fund, but announced that no agreement had been concluded. Archimedes will be in charge of forming a separate New Jersey auto company. He has twenty years of experience in personal lines from Colonial Penn, Fireman’s Fund and Parkway Insurance.
