The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies announced that it has developed an exclusive insurance program to be made available to members of the Detectives’ Endowment Association (DEA) of New York City.
“This program is made possible through Farmers’ alliance with ‘labor’s own’ Ulico Insurance Group (Ulico) and their partnership with the Russo-Picciuro-Maloy (RPM) independent insurance agency,” said the announcement. The program will offer special group rates on auto, homeowners and umbrella insurance to the approximately 12,500 active and retired members of the DEA residing in the State of New York.
Farmers explained that “Ulico typically markets its products to the union entity, not its membership.” It provides fiduciary liability coverage for trust funds and offers additional products to unions, such as director and officer insurance, commercial general liability, commercial property, commercial auto and workers compensation. By teaming up with framers it will now be able to offer a union personal insurance product to union members.
“The RPM insurance agency is located on Staten Island, New York, and has been insuring families and businesses for over 100 years” said Farmers announcement. It’s “Staten Island’s largest independent insurance agency and one of the top independent agencies in the State of New York, serving nearly 10,000 families and businesses. Farmers and Ulico have designated the RPM insurance agency as the exclusive local representative for this unique program,” it concluded.
