Westfield Group and American Agrisurance, Inc. (AmAg®) have formed a marketing alliance for the sale of crop insurance to agricultural producers throughout the northeastern and mid-Atlantic United States.
According to Scott Orndorff, Westfield senior executive, and Dennis Daggett, AmAg chief marketing officer, the alliance establishes a powerful partnership that provides producers with one outlet for all of their insurance needs.
“Both companies are committed to expanding the use of crop insurance and financial risk management strategies in areas where there is low participation in the Federal crop insurance program,” Daggett said. “This partnership will bring new agricultural products and services to a traditionally under-served market.”
“New innovations in the Federal crop insurance program convinced us this industry was a valuable addition to our portfolio for our customers, and we want to work with a leading, reputable company like AmAg,” Orndorff added. “AmAg is known for its innovation of new products and services. We are pleased to partner with them in bringing this new benefit to our current agricultural producers. This alliance also gives us access to existing agricultural producers in areas we are targeting for expansion.”
Daggett noted that the alliance provides the opportunity for AmAg to reach northeastern and mid-Atlantic producers through a partner that has served the area for numerous years.
