The New York Chapter of the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) Society announced it will host a luncheon Friday, Nov. 8 at the New York Marriott Brooklyn, 333 Adams Street, Brooklyn, to recognize new designees.
At the luncheon, some two dozen professionals who earned their CPCU designation in 2002 will receive their designation in the company of hundreds of their peers. Terrie E. Troxel, Ph.D., CPCU, president and chief executive officer of the American Institute for CPCU and the Insurance Institute of America, will be the conferment official.
In addition to the new designation ceremony, CPCUs will honor New York Superintendent of Insurance Gregory V. Serio for his service in support of the industry, its people and the more than 1,000 CPCUs who work in the state.
Tickets for the luncheon, which begins with cocktail hour at 11:30 am, are $80 for members of the CPCU Society or $90 for non-members. Tables of ten are $800. The luncheon starts at 12:30 pm.
