Vision Reinsurance Intermediaries, Inc. announced the opening of an East Coast office in Shelton, Connecticut. Victor Marques, senior vice president of Vision Reinsurance Intermediaries, Inc. since June 2003, has assumed the role of branch manager in the Connecticut office.
Thomas Connery joined the company in November of 2003, as senior vice president and is responsible for developing and servicing reinsurance programs in the Northeastern United States. Prior to joining Vision Re, Connery was vice president with Munich American Risk Partners. He began his career with American Mutual Liability Insurance Corp. and later worked for Guy Carpenter and E.W. Blanch. Connery has more than 25 years of experience in the reinsurance and insurance industry.
“I am very enthusiastic about starting a Connecticut office for the Vision Re organization,” said Marques. “Vision Re has a reputation as an outstanding service intermediary, and this is a great opportunity to bring new reinsurance clients to the company.”
“We are pleased to have Victor and Tom on board, allowing Vision to have a presence in the Northeast and adding to our growing client base,” added Anne Marie Roberts, president and CEO of Vision Re. “The office in Connecticut is a milestone for us as the Northeast corridor is the home of many of our reinsurance markets and our presence there is an important step.”
