Westfield Insurance recently opened a new commercial lines and surety office in suburban Richmond, Virginia, expanding the company’s property/casualty and surety operations to 26 states.
Located at 4701 Cox Road in Glen Allen, Va., this office establishes a local contact for Westfield policyholders and agency partners to process claims, adjust policies, and address customer needs. Westfield has hired six new employees to work from this office, including two new middle market field managers, a field underwriter, a claims manager, a loss control manager, and a bond manager.
“We decided to expand operations to Virginia because of the significant opportunity to diversify and grow in businesses, markets, and products that optimize profit,” said Westfield Insurance President Roger McManus. “Adding Virginia to Westfield’s operations further diversifies our book of business by spreading risk outside the Midwest, an area that is prone to severe weather conditions that impact our profitability.”
Westfield is currently appointing independent agencies in the Richmond area to provide service to new Westfield policyholders.
“Westfield brings expertise for commercial accounts with exceptional coverage backed by prompt, fair, and professional claims service,” added Westfield’s Commercial Lines Executive Chris Kelleher. “We believe strongly in sharing knowledge and building trust with our customers and agencies, a philosophy that has earned the respect of our policyholders and the communities we serve.”
