ACE Surety, a division of ACE Diversified Risk, announced the appointment of Stephen Haney as Vice President with overall responsibility for managing the ACE USA and ACE Canada Surety Operations.
“ACE Surety is the division within ACE Diversified Risk that offers risk managers, financial officers, and brokers an array of commercial surety products geared toward the Fortune and Industrial 2000 and larger privately-held companies,” said the announcement.
“The ACE Surety division has a solid reputation for providing customized solutions to the commercial bond market,” stated John Lupica, President, ACE Diversified Risk. “Steve’s demonstrated expertise, strategic vision and strong leadership qualities will ensure the continued growth of this specialty area.”
Haney has been Surety Home Office Underwriting Manager for ACE USA Professional Risk since 1998. Prior to that, he spent three years at Chubb Surety in Philadelphia, serving as Regional Underwriter for the Eastern states. He has also held various underwriting, sales and marketing positions with Cologne Re in Germany and Leon Levy & Associates in Philadelphia.
Haney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. He also received a MBA in international business from European University, in The Hague, Netherlands, and he is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Associate Underwriter (AW).
