R.I.-Based Brokers’ Service Marketing Expands Management Team

David Greenberg has been named president and chief executive officer of Rhode Island-based Brokers’ Service Marketing Group.

In his new capacity, Greenberg, who is a partner in the life insurance and financial services brokerage, will oversee daily operations while directing the corporate sales and case management departments. Greenberg has also been named to the Executive Committee of the firm.

David B. Lea, Jr., chairman and founder of Brokers’ Service Marketing Group, also announced a series of other promotions and the hiring of Brian Haswell as vice president of Risk Appraisal.

Haswell has expertise in the placement of impaired risk life insurance cases. Before joining Brokers’ Service, Haswell served as a regional vice president for Lincoln Benefit Life based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Other promotions include:

Paul A. Sepe, a partner in the firm, has been promoted to senior executive vice president and has been named to the Executive Committee. Sepe will continue to play a leadership role in sales. He has been with Brokers’ Service since 1983 and in the life insurance field since 1971. He is a specialist in case design, products and their applications.

Jean Ryan has been promoted to executive vice president and named to the Executive Committee. In addition to her new position, Ryan will continue to serve as the firm’s chief financial officer. Ryan provides counsel to the company’s senior executives and oversees all of the firm’s financial operations.

Pamela DeMelim has been promoted to executive vice president and named to the Executive Committee. In addition to her new position, DeMelim will continue to serve as the firm’s chief administrative officer. She provides counsel to the company’s senior executives and oversees the firm’s human resource function, IT, special projects and property management matters.

Diane Hodgson has been promoted to senior vice president and chief case manager. Hodgson is responsible for supervising the case management department which helps ensure timely processing of insurance policy applications.

Donna Jacob has been promoted to vice president for finance. In her new role she now manages the commission department and is involved in financial reporting and daily operations within the accounting department.

Lori Crowley Blackmar has been promoted to assistant vice president of marketing. She is now providing support to the vice president of corporate sales and helping direct the company’s marketing activities. She provides information about insurance carrier products and other marketing material to Brokers’ Service clients.

Ray Paola has been promoted to vice president of long term care. Paola will manage of the firm’s Long Term Care department.
