New York Man Gets $90K for Police Dog Bite

The New York man who was bitten by a police dog will receive $90,000 from the city of Mount Vernon.

Carlos Garcia filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city in 2008.

According to court papers, police were searching for two people who had stolen a motorcycle when Garcia was parking his van in the area.

He said that police let the dog loose on him by mistake and he was bitten twice.

A police report showed that police released Garcia after he was treated for his injuries.
