Independent reinsurance broker Holborn Corp. appointed Wesley Zeliff as vice president and Shinji Ueda as assistant vice president. Both new executives will be based in the firm’s New York headquarters.
Zeliff comes from U.S. RE Corporation, where he served as senior vice president responsible for domestic production and placement of treaty reinsurance. He has also worked at Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Reliance Re, and English and American Insurance. He began his career at Continental Insurance/MOAC Re.
Ueda also comes from U.S. RE, where he served as assistant vice president and worked on property catastrophe placements in the Gulf region and in the analytics and modeling area.
Founded in 1920, Holborn Corp. is an independent reinsurance brokerage firm headquartered in New York City. Through the adoption of an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) during 1998, it became exclusively owned by its employees.
