ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group, has appointed Teresa Black as senior vice president of distribution management.
Black returns to ACE in this new role, and will work collaboratively with ACE USA’s regional teams across the U.S., responsible for managing strategic broker relationships. In addition, she will develop plans to help drive broker relationships on a national level. Black will be based in New York City and report to Ed Zaccaria, president of ACE USA regional operations.
Black rejoins ACE from the New York City-based offices of Freedom Specialty Insurance, part of the Nationwide Group of Companies. She previously served as vice president of national segment leader for ACE USA’s New York region, and as assistant vice president in the ACE professional risk division, where she co-created and implemented a training program for professional liability underwriters — a two-year program still in place.
Prior to her tenure with ACE, she served in an underwriting management capacity for several carriers, focusing on D&O product lines. She has two decades of experience in the insurance industry.
