Three independent insurance agencies in Maine have made the state’s seventh annual “Best Places to Work in Maine” list.
The list is published by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management. It recognizes 42 local businesses that have established and consistently fostered outstanding workplace environments, according to the council.
The three Maine agencies included in the list are: Allen Insurance and Financial of Camden; Holden Agency Insurance of Portland; and Turner Barker Insurance, also based in Portland.
An awards banquet will be held on Oct. 11, 2012 at the Ramada Conference Center in Lewiston, Maine. Industries represented in the list include banking, insurance, construction, manufacturing and high-tech.
