If insurance companies paid as slow as FEMA the government would fine them!

FEMA works at the speed of Government…and with the same efficiency.

Agents in the field know how well FEMA has handled the flood claims and the truth is closer to governor Chirstie’s comment than the FEMA Press Release.

Everyone I know has received their FEMA payments. Some of the stalling is the private carriers that underwrite for FEMA. So, that is not FEMA.

And, many, many people have hired public adjusters who are halting the progress as well. Again, that isn’t FEMA.

I’m not defending them, fully, but my FEMA adjuster was HEADS ABOVE the private insurance adjuster. The FEMA adjuster knew he had an obligation to make me whole…private insurance adjuster was incompetent. So, obviously private insurance wants me (and many others) to chase them down for anything…even the spoiled meat and products in our refrigerators (electric went out hours before storm hit). So, unfortunately, our courts will be clogged with many, many bad faith claims.

Gov. Christie should be calling out the private insurers who are NOT playing any claims…loss of use (the gov’t restricted use before the storm hit), etc. After all of this, we should list the companies that were great (i.e., Chubb, ACE Risk, etc.). And, expose the awful ones.
