Ames & Gough Names Senior Broker in Virginia Office

Ames & Gough, an insurance broker and risk management consultant serving design professionals, law firms, associations/non-profits and other professional service firms, appointed Allison Barefoot as assistant vice president and senior broker in the firm’s property/casualty department.

She will be based in the firm’s McLean, Virginia, office and will have varied responsibilities for client service and brokerage. Barefoot joins Ames & Gough from USI Insurance Services, where she served a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in insurance brokerage and client services, culminating with her appointment as commercial lines account executive and team leader. She began her career in with Patterson Smith Associates, which subsequently merged into USI. She holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.

Washington, D.C.-based Ames & Gough said the firm is continuing to expand its property/casualty operations as a complement to its professional liability and management liability insurance services. The firm said Barefoot’s extensive insurance experience as a broker, supervisor and team leader working with a wide range of commercial clients makes her a strong addition to the firm’s property/casualty team.
