    Pamela:
Elivated reflecting markers, they cost about $3 each at home improvement outlets, seem to work well in our area for keeping plows on the roads and off private property. These drivers have to go out in perilous conditions where the edges of the road disappear in the drifts. Quite complaining and do something to help them out, this second time is shame on you.

Pamela, be happy they plowed your road. I am sure a bag of grass seed and a little hard work is worth having access to the road after a storm. I agree with Original Bob – quit complaining!

I was surprised to read that she was compensated. Where I live (Barry County, Michigan) I was told that there is at least a 15 foot right-of-way starting at the center of the road and onto property. The county is not liable for any damage within the right-of-way. However, I agree with the other 2 commenters – I’d rather put up with a little damage then try to drive through a foot of snow!
