Insurance Companies were paid $11,701,350,000 Expense Allowance for Write Your Own ( WYO) Flood Insurance Policies, thru 2012.
It is unclear if this was Claims, Commissions, and/or Management fees.
OMB figures indicate Commissions and Management Fees as high as 66% (with no risk) were paid for WYO to Ins. Companies.
It is very difficult to make good Public Policy, when Congress doesn’t have a comprehensive overview of the Program.
