AIG’s Regional Casualty Exec Thomas Joins Victor O. Schinnerer in Maryland

Underwriting manager Victor O. Schinnerer & Company Inc. in Chevy Chase, Maryland, has hired Scott P. Thomas as senior vice president and senior underwriting manager leading the firm’s property/casualty segment of its Architects & Engineers program and the International P/C program.

Thomas brings more than 20 years of insurance experience to his new role. Both the Architects & Engineers P/C and International P/C programs represent significant growth opportunities for Schinnerer and will be initial focus areas for Thomas, Victor O. Schinnerer & Company said.

Thomas comes to Schinnerer from AIG where he served as a regional casualty executive responsible for primary and excess construction, energy, transportation, foreign casualty package, foreign casualty multi-national, defense base act, middle market domestic guaranteed cost, and reverse flow books of business.

His background also includes senior management and underwriting roles at Patriot Underwriting, Kemper Insurance Company, and Aon.
