London’s Financial Times reports that Royal & Sun Alliance is set to announce the formation of a new global business unit to implement innovative strategies, to develop new ideas and to improve operating results throughout the group.
According to the FT, the new division, Group Strategy, Innovation and Research (GSIR), will be headed by Stuart Degg, who’s currently the boss of RSA’s Global Ventures unit, which will become part of GSIR. It will focus on new technologies and the implementation of new initiatives throughout all RSA operations aimed at developing greater efficiencies in global underwriting and claims management.
