Bermuda-based PartnerRe Ltd. announced that Thomas Renggli has been appointed to head the company’s Finite Reinsurance, Global unit.
He will be based in Zurich, Switzerland and will be responsible for the production and management of PartnerRe’s Finite Reinsurance portfolio in Europe and other non-US markets.
Renggli joins PartnerRe from Swiss Re Financial Services Group, where he most recently held the position of Head of Insurance Marketing, Central Europe. He brings with him over 15 years of industry experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Berne, Switzerland, and a postgraduate diploma from Fairfax University, Louisiana.
Marvin Pestcoe, head of PartnerRe’s ART unit, stated, “The expansion of our Finite team into Europe represents a further step in our strategic initiative to serve our clients in the ART area.” Bruno Meyenhofer, CEO PartnerRe Global, added, “Thomas’s proven management and leadership capabilities make him an excellent addition to our Global senior management team and he will play a key role in helping us deepen our expertise in European ART.”
