Allianz Cornhill was presented with the General Insurer of the Year award at the British Insurance Awards (BIA) ceremony held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on July 7.
The BIA accolades are awarded by a panel of industry, trade union, political and media specialists. The judges were unanimous in their decision. One judge remarked: “Allianz Cornhill is solid, focused and has invested in its own staff and brokers. Its financial results speak for themselves.”
Andrew Torrance, Allianz Cornhill CEO, said, “I am extremely proud to be leading the company that has been recognized in this way as this demonstrates recognition of the progress we have made in becoming the best competitor in our chosen markets. I would like to thank all Allianz Cornhill employees for the hard work that has gone into making this success possible; this accolade belongs to them all.”
The event also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the British Insurance Awards, which are hosted by leading titles in the insurance sector.
