ACE Appoints Two Senior IT Managers

ACE announced from London that it has made two new senior appointments to its internal IT teams in order to strengthen its internal system capabilities.

Mrs. Rashmi Rao joins ACE as Global Programme Director. She has over 10 years experience of IT project management, and “will assume responsibility for the IT requirements of ACE’s international businesses, overseeing the rollout of key internal developments including Apollo, ACE’s bespoke document imaging and file management system, and ACE-ii, its on-line underwriting platform, as well as Genius, the underwriting and claims administration system,” said the announcement.

Rao joins ACE from McKinsey & Company UK and reports to Mike Mitchard, Chief Information Officer for ACE Overseas General.

Mr. Tony Ledger also joins ACE as European IT Director. Reporting to Michael Furgueson, President & COO of ACE Europe. Ledger “has responsibility for the IT infrastructure of ACE’s extensive European operations, supporting the ongoing technology needs of the Group’s three brands ACE Europe, ACE Global Markets and ACE Tempest Re (Europe), “said the bulletin.

He will work closely with the business units and underwriting management to further develop and implement a cohesive IT strategy across Europe. He joins ACE from Markel, where he was IT Director, and brings to ACE over 20 years experience of IT management.

Mitchard commented: “Over the past few years, ACE has invested heavily in its IT capabilities, developing systems which improve our overall service delivery and efficiency to the benefit of all our customers. Both Rashmi and Tony will enable us to continue to develop and grow our IT function, ensuring ACE takes a more cohesive approach to the use of IT across its diverse international network.”
