GE Insurance Solutions Details Additions to Global Management Staff

GE Insurance Solutions has announced the addition of expertise to its Property Insurance & Services, Global Asset Protection business unit.

Field Operations Leader Tim Heinze said the unit has had a “great year,” and now had “the opportunity to add new field staff in key strategic locations around the world to help us deliver on our goal of unsurpassed customer service.”

He added that he was “particularly pleased that we’ve added expertise in China to our team. China represents a new market that we have just begun to tap.”

The company gave the following details on the new appointments:

The U.K.:
Two field representatives were added to the UK offices. Mir Zaman joins the team as a loss prevention consultant, bringing nine years of industry experience at major property loss prevention servicing companies. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. He is fluent in English and Hindi, and has basic knowledge of French and Arabic.

Steve Western joins the team as a loss prevention consultant. He has more than eight years’ experience in the areas of facility development and risk management. His areas of expertise include the aerospace industry and its associated risks, and general risk management.

Mainland Europe:
The team added a key international resource with the addition of Sultan Javeri as a loss prevention consultant. He brings 24 years of industry experience with large property loss prevention firms, where he served as loss prevention consultant, senior account engineer and engineering manager.

Sultan is active in several industry organizations. Since 1997, he has worked closely with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Today, he serves as the organization’s director for Europe. He is also member of the UK Fire Protection Association, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Asia-Pacific:
Steve Williamson recently joined the Global Asset Protection team in Sydney, Australia, as a loss prevention consultant. He previously served in the company’s U.K. operations in the same position for nine years. Steve will be a key field resource delivering loss prevention surveys to customers with locations in Australia and throughout the Pacific Rim.

The addition of Loss Prevention Consultant Tony Wu represents the team’s first expert in China. He will be responsible for delivering outstanding local loss prevention service to our customers with locations in China. Tony graduated from Beijing Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Industrial Management. He brings eight years of expertise in handling surveys for many industrial occupancies, including pulp and paper, electronics and automobile parts manufacturing to the team.

Canada:
France Larivee joins the Global Asset Protection Canadian operations team as a loss prevention consultant. She has experience in property and casualty loss prevention, having worked for loss prevention service providers, and a major property and casualty carrier. France has provided loss prevention expertise to occupancies including pulp & paper, aluminum, metalworking, plastic workers, auto assembly, healthcare and warehousing.

She is a graduate in Metallurgical Engineering from l’Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal. She is a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario and is fluent in both French and English. France will be based out of the Toronto area and will be primarily responsible for servicing our Canadian locations.

United States:
Sergio Barrueto joins us as a field engineer located in the Los Angeles area. Sergio brings his expertise as a registered Professional Engineer in Fire Protection and certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) to the team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the California State University, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from California State University, Long Beach. Sergio has over 15 years of professional experience ranging from design of fire protection systems to inspection services and training, and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Nick Williams joins the team as a loss prevention consultant, bringing new energy and insight to the Boston area. Nick is a recent graduate from Worchester Polytechnic Institute with a master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The bulletin described GE Insurance Solutions’ Global Asset Protection as offering the company’s customers a “property loss prevention consulting team that provides solutions to cost-effectively protect customer operations and assets.”
