Oxygen Insurance Brokers, the Lloyd’s accredited broking operation of the London market intermediary, Oxygen Holdings, announced it is developing a portfolio of professional indemnity (PI) business with the launch of a new broking team of PI specialists.
“The first member of the team to join Oxygen is Andrew Wallin,” said the bulletin. “He was the former New Business Director for Willis Finex PI Team” “and has significant expertise at developing innovative products targeted at a range of professions including solicitors, accountants and technology, media and telecoms companies. New members of the team will be announced in due course,” it continued.
Nigel Barton, CEO of Oxygen Holdings, commented: “We are looking to create a strong broking team within the PI market. Andrew brings significant knowledge of this class and expertise in the development of products so is an important first step in us achieving our goal. This class fits perfectly with our business model and focus on process efficiency and superior customer service.”
Wallin started work with Willis on their graduate training scheme in 1999. Initially dealing with major corporate clients on the design and implementation of whole account insurance solutions he then specialized in PI, with a specific focus on major lawyers and technology, media and telecoms clients.
